Kort Orbach Appraisal

About Kort Orbach Appraisal

I am a Certified Residential Appraiser, licensed by the State of California Office of Real Estate Appraisers (see link page).

I began appraising homes in Orange County in 1987 as a staff appraiser at Bank of America. There I gained extensive experience in mortgage lending, forclosure, and REO appraisal. Bank of America is an active 'high-end' lender, and I appraised hundreds of custom homes. In 1992-1993 I volunteered to be transfered to the Puget Sound area in the State of Washington, and appraised suburban and rural homes in that area.

I have been an independent appraiser for the last nine years, and have appraised for a variety of clients, including Bank of America, Countrywide, and other major lenders; attorneys needing expert witness testimony in legal proceedings, including divorces, in courtroom settings; and individuals needing professional, unbiased appraisals for family transfers or advice on a proposed list price or puchase offer.

In 2000 I authored the California Department of Real Estate Appraisers approved Continuing Education Class 'The Appraisal of Custom Homes' and teach this and other courses for Appraiser Continuing Education programs required by law.

I have no employees, and complete all phases of the research, analysis, and reporting myself.

Appraisal reports are delivered as hard copies, .pdf files via the internet, or via AppraisalPort/AppraisalLink.
